Popularity of wireless communication networks continues to increase, mainly due to the
ever-growing numbers of wireless users and new emerging wireless applications. The fifth
generation (5G) and beyond 5G (B5G) wireless networks offer higher data rates, improved
coverage, higher data rate, Lower Latency, increased number of devices, security,
adaptability, energy efficiency, and scalability. WSNs have applications in military, traffic
surveillance, target tracking, environment monitoring, healthcare monitoring, smart home
services based on CRSN. Cloud computing has significantly enhanced the growth of the
Internet of Things (IoT). Use of AI technologies in detection and channel estimation for
massive MIMO systems, fast fading time-varying multipath channel and Cognitive radio
(CR) technology with efficient electromagnetic spectrum management, can efficiently
address the challenges of conventional communication technologies. Unmanned aerial
vehicles (UAVs), Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) and Underwater wireless
communication (UWC) are expected to be the part of the wireless networks.
